Montérégie

Entrepreneurs in Montréal’s South Shore located in the MRC de Rouville and the MRC du Haut-Richelieu will now be served by the Cantons-de-l’Est Business Office.

We encourage the development of Montérégie business communities by directly assisting this region’s businesses and organizations with their projects..

Overview of the region

Montérégie’s highly diversified economy is primarily based on a well-developed commercial sector driven by urban sprawl in the Montréal area and high population growth, and a manufacturing industry consisting of businesses in the agri-food, metal products, machinery, transportation equipment, aerospace and life sciences sectors, including many seasoned exporters active in a variety of markets.
