Overview of the region

Chaudière-Appalaches region is primarily rural with several important regional hubs (Lévis, St-Georges, Thetford-Mines, Montmagny). The region has a large pool of SMEs operating in the more traditional sectors of metal processing, plastic processing, bio-food and housing products (lumber).

National Research Council Canada (NRC)

Supports SMEs in validating and developing new products and procedures. Financial assistance is awarded after the project has been assessed by an industrial technology advisor.
